Overview

Gasherbrum I Expedition standing proudly as the 11th-highest peak globally, finds its majestic location in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan. This colossal mountain is an integral part of the Gasherbrum massive, situated within the Karakoram region of the Himalayas. The Gasherbrum range, a remote cluster of towering peaks nestled in the Karakoram, occupies a secluded space at the northeast terminus of the expansive 36-mile Baltoro glacier. Among these impressive summits, Mt. Gasherbrum I, often referred to as G-I, stands out as a particularly challenging ascent, known for its demanding nature.

  • Personal climbing gear, clothes, sleeping bag, boots, technical equipment etc.

  • Tips / gratuities for drivers, porters, local staff, guides.

  • Satellite phone / walkie-talkie if needed above base camp (communication gear for personal use)

  • Soft drinks / personal snacks beyond what’s provided (some “beverages” may be included, but extras are not)

  • Laundry services.

  • Extra expenses caused by delays (e.g. weather delays causing extra hotel nights, extra days on mountain) — e.g. if flights are cancelled, extra days are charged.

  • Emergency evacuation costs (e.g. in case of accident, illness) — rescue costs are not part of included package.

  • Extra wages for personnel or additional services beyond what the package defines (e.g. extra porters, extra equipment)
